Preperations for this event are well underway.  Craig O'Neill will be our emcee for the evening, Canvas will be playing live music in front of a dance floor lined with hay bales, and the special equestrians of Hearts & Hooves are already submitting art work to Miss Sarah to include in the Rider Art Show!  Professional auctioneer Johnny Green will run our live auction, and Golden Corral is cooking up steaks and chicken quarters, along with some savory sides and a cobbler dessert.  Glazers is providing wine and beer, and we will even be serving margaritas this year, as part of a special raffle!

Come dance and dine, meet the Therapy Horses, see our riders' bright smiles, and enjoy the evening.  The Hoedown is a volunteer driven event, and all proceeds go directly to Hearts & Hooves.\

Rider Testimonials

It helps her language skills, self esteem and self-confidence…and the results have been amazing. One example of the benefit is that we had been trying to teach her how to ride her bicycle for the past several summers.  She came home one weekend and she just got on her bike on her own and just started riding. She had learned to hold her head up with good posture so that she could see where she was going. When she rides the horse, they tell her to hold her head up like a princess. I think balance and confidence is what made her get out there and ride that bike. ~LeJean, mother
