How your donation could help…

What $10 will do:

  • Buy a bag of feed that will feed one horse 12 days
  • Worm one horse one time (horses have to be wormed every other month)
  • Buy 2 bales of hay which will feed one horse for a week
  • Purchase leather cleaner which will extend the life of our saddles and reins

What $50 will do:

  • Pay for shoes for one horse one time (horses have to have new shoes every 7-8 weeks)
  • Purchase a helmet for a rider (helmets have to be replaced on a regular basis due to wear)
  • Buy one set of reins (color coding helps riders learn where to place hands)
  • Buy a halter and lead rope for one horse
  • Buy a set of leathers to hold the stirrups on one saddle

What $100 will do:

  • Pay for annual shots for one horse
  • Pay for dental work for one horse annually (horse’s teeth grow continually and must be “filed” for proper health maintenance)
  • Pay for water to the horses and barns for one month
  • Pay for one rider to attend weekly riding classes one month
  • Buy a clipper to trim the horse’s mane making it easier for our riders to halter the horse

What $500 will do:

  • Send one horse to training for one month
  • Pay one month’s utility bills (electricity and water)
  • Cover salary expense for person to maintain safe pastures and arena plus feed horses twice daily for one pay period (bi-monthly)

What $1,000 will do:

  • Cover the feed and routine maintenance of one horse for one year (Adopt a Horse)
  • Buy an adaptive or needed saddle for the program
  • Provide an appreciation / recognition event for volunteers who give so much time and talent to the program
  • Provide gravel and sand to make the arena easier on the horses and safer for the riders
  • Buy a computer for the office to improve office efficiency
  • Buy a projector to be able to share the joy of the faces we serve when asking for donation of time and/or money

What $2,500 will do:

  • Send one instructor to a six week school to become an NARHA certified Advanced Riding Instructor
  • Pay one month’s insurance (workman’s compensation, liability, BDO)
  • Provide an instructor for one month
  • Purchase hay for 6 months

What $10,000 could do:

  • Provide a covering for the wheelchair ramp so that riders who cannot mount in a traditional manner could get on their horse and ride even in rainy weather
  • Start a capacity building fund in order to hire an additional instructor or a part time volunteer coordinator
